BUH Foundation Announces new Executive Director

is with tremendous excitement and optimism that Battlefords Union Hospital
(BUH) Foundation gratefully announces the next Executive Director. Leanne
Ducommun has been selected from a list of very worthy candidates to lead BUH
Foundation into the future. Leanne is a staple in the community. She has worked
as Marketing and Communications Manager for Discovery Co-op for the last 10
years and spent over a decade as Sales/Sales Manager with Battlefords
Publishing. Through these roles, Leanne has gained valuable experience and
knowledge surrounding strategic planning and public relations. Leanne is a
long-time volunteer for BUH Foundation and has spent many hours at various BUH Foundation
events and has grown passionate about the work the Foundation does and how many
people are positively affected through fundraising initiatives. Leanne Ducommun
strongly believes in advocating for services that can be offered here at home,
locally. The BUH Foundation has strong alignment to Leanne's personal approach
to enriching the lives of those around her. Please join Battlefords Union
Hospital Foundation in welcoming Leanne Ducommun as Executive Director
effective November 15, 2021. Leanne joins a team of true professionals, Shauna
McGifford and Sheila Stensrud.

Battlefords Union Hospital (BUH) Foundation is dedicated to enriching patient care at BUH through responsible stewardship of community contributions and volunteer resources. BUH Foundation, operating independently of other healthcare organizations, is the main fundraising agency of BUH and provides funding for the purchase of capital/non-capital equipment and staff education. Through a bequest from Victor Pearsall in 2011, BUH Foundation began the Victor Pearsall Home Care Fund allowing funding for Battlefords Region Home Care.
