The Women's Health and Birthing Centre thanks you for your support of the Golf Tournament as they received a Vital Signs Monitor with Stand and a CADD Legacy PCA Pump to enhance patient care in their department.

Through this year's Golf Tournament we were able to purchase 2 Slave Monitors for Telemetry for ICU as well as a Pediatric Vital Signs Monitor for the Emergency Department.

Portable Telemetry units

Portable Telemetry units transmit the patient’s heart rate and rhythm by radio signals to the central monitor in the ICU. For the patient this means more mobility while at the same time providing the physician and nursing staff with timely intervention and the information needed to treat the patient. The benefits to BUH include increasing monitoring capabilities and eliminating admissions to the ICU for monitoring purposes only.

A Laporoscopy Unit for the Operating room

This vital piece of medical equipment enables surgeons to do non-invasive surgery, by allowing them to operate through very small incisions and view their work via camera on a TV monitor. The benefits include minimizing trauma, shorter hospital stays and quicker recovery times. This purchase allows our surgeons to perform more operations locally.
