The annual Wayne Pruden Memorial Golf Tournament was another smashing hit. The Tournament hosting 201 registered golfers was won by the Bruce Goodfellow team. The squad shot a sizzling 55.

“It was excellent,” said Renee Belyk, Executive Director of the Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation. “We were pleased with the turnout and the weather was absolutely great.” The money raised from this year’s Tournament will go to the Breast Health Fund that will help purchase new mammography equipment for the Diagnostic Imaging Department at BUH. The Foundation has pledged $450,000.00 to assist with the purchase of the new equipment, which has a total bill of $900,000.00. “This is much needed equipment for the hospital,” said Belyk. The Tournament has raised over $200,000.00 for the Foundation and the projects it supports.
