Ticket sales for Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation’s Monthly Cash Lottery commence Tuesday, February 19^th, 2008.

Consistent with last year’s lottery format only 1,200 tickets will be sold, available at a cost of $104.00 each. A total of 158 draws will be made, awarding $50,000.00 in cash prizes over a period of 12 months.

The Monthly Lottery is expected to raise over $40,000.00, which will be used to enhance patient care at Battlefords Union Hospital. Specifically, proceeds from this year’s lottery will be used to purchase a LifePak 20 defibrillator / monitor for use in the Trauma Room. This piece of life saving equipment is portable, has full therapy and monitoring capabilities and will allow for fast, effective defibrillation when required.

In order to be eligible for the $1,000.00 Previous Purchaser draw on Wednesday, April 4^th, tickets must be purchased by 5:00pm Monday, April 2^nd. A second bonus draw for $1,000.00 will be made on Wednesday, April 9^th, 2008. Early bird purchasers who buy their tickets before 5:00pm on Monday, April 7^th, 2008 will be eligible for this draw. Following these preliminary draws, monthly draws will take place on the last Wednesday of every month, beginning April 30^th, with the exception of the month of December, which will be drawn on the 17^th.  Thirteen draws totaling $4,000.00 will be drawn every month, including a top prize of $1,000.00, second prize of $600.00, third prize of $400.00 and ten prizes of $200.00.
