RE/MAX of the Battlefords Help Children of BUH
Creating miracles is not new for RE/MAX of the Battlefords. Realtors for RE/MAX of the Battlefords have raised $1,095 to support children at Battlefords Union Hospital. They raised the funds by pledging a portion of their commissions from each transaction for a three month period. A total of $1,495 was raised, of which $400 will go towards the Children’s Health Foundation of Saskatchewan and $1,095 will remain local benefiting the Battlefords community directly.
Since RE/MAX became the exclusive real estate sponsor of Children’s Miracle Network in 1992, RE/MAX Associates have raised more than $45.5 million for the charity. This is the fifth consecutive year that Battlefords Union Hospital has benefited from the generosity of RE/MAX, bringing their total donated to $5,337.50. These donations have purchased items such as rechargeable ottoscopes and intermittent wall suctions for the pediatric department.
Roger Manegre, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX, along with the Battlefords’ RE/MAX realtors, presented the donation to the Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation this morning. “We are really pleased that we can help to purchase equipment for the children at Battlefords Union Hospital. It is important for families to keep sick children close to home and the parents can be assured knowing that quality equipment is available for their use,” commented Roger Manegre. “We take pride in helping the Foundation assist our hospital in creating a healthy community.”
Additionally, Terri Cann, Nursing Unit Manager for Women’s Health and Birthing and Al Gotto BUH Foundation Chair were also present to accept the donation.
