The BUH Foundation has created a Donor Recognition Wall in honor of the support it receives from the public.  The plaques listed on the wall represent donations made in support of the Foundation’s mandate, to raise resources for the purpose of funding equipment and education at Battlefords Union Hospital, thereby enhancing the care provided to its patients.

The Donor Wall graces the main lobby of the hospital and showcases the support the Foundation has received since its inception.  The Wall represents a total of $853,267 of donations received to date from community organizations, individuals and businesses.

The wall is designed on a cumulative basis, allowing recognition of the donors to move up through the seven levels that are available.  Plaques on the donor wall start at the Bronze level which represents donations from $1,000 to $4,999 up to the Diamond level for donations of $100,000 and greater.

JIm Peach, retired Foundation Chairman comments, "It is important to note that donations on the Wall include funds that were donated through the Foundation office as opposed to the hospital or the Battlefords Health District.  Sponsors of the Foundation’s special events are recognized apart from the donor wall.  We recognize the importance of these contributions to enhancing patient care at BUH and wanted to create a permanent displya of our gratitude."  Jim was instrumental in the creation of the wall during his final term with the Foundation Board.

"The Donor Wall incorporates a representation of the Battlefords bridges which are unique and recognizable to our community.  The Wall also symbolizes that BUH Foundation is a bridge connecting the hospital with the community, matching donors with real needs of the hospital," comments Janice Sander, executive director, BUH Foundation.
