Hole-In-One to Benefit BUH Foundation

North Battleford, SK - June 6, 2001 proved to be a winning night for golfer Don Burnett and Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation. At the BIF Men’s Night Challenge at the North Battleford Golf and Country Club, Don scored a hole-in-one on Hole number 8. “It was just pure luck,” says Don when asked how he managed the hole-in-one. The $5,000 prize was sponsored by the Venice House and Cherry Insurance. ING Western Union Insurance Company, the underwriter, also gives an additional $1,000 for the winner to contribute to a charity of their choice. Don chose to donate it to the Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation and their annual Wayne Pruden Memorial Golf Tournament fund-raiser. “Wayne was a long-time friend of mine and this year I could not golf in his tournament, so this way I still get to do my part,” answers Don to the question of why he chose the Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation.
